Mom gets a makeover > 1, 2, Before
Beauty brush-ups
Sherry had just gotten a new perm, so we smoothed out the curl with an
oversized round brush and a hairdryer. Then we used a large-barrel curling iron, rolling
the hair back on top (except for the bangs, which went under) and then under all over the
head.
Finally, we applied Biosilk Silk Therapy, which smells amazing and gives your hair tons of shine without weighing it down or looking greasy.
On the face, we started by shaping the eyebrows (plucking underneath from mid-arch out).
We went with a more vibrant palette, skipping the coral tones she'd be using and going with more plum-based tones.
Face: We started with a smooth foundation of Clinique "Soft Fair."
Eyes - Clinique "Charcoal" was applied to the lids all the way to the crease; Clinique "Honeybunch" was swept from the crease to the browbone (one of the best neutrals for any skin tone). We lined the top of the lid with Maybelline "Platinum" pencil. Then we curled the eyelashes and applied lots of Clinique "Black" Naturally Glossy Mascara (top lashes only, concentrating on outer corner lashes to make the eyes look really lush).
Cheeks - Clinique "Rhubarb" blush was brushed on the apples of the cheeks.
Lips - We went with Revlon's "Plumwine" lipliner, filled in with Sephora #941 (a plum color) and topped in the middle upper and lower lips with Stephen Hardy Angel's Kiss lipgloss (for extra fullness.)
Parting thoughts on Sherry's new look
Dad loved the new look. So did the grandkids. Most important -- Sherry looked
radiant and polished.
Who could ask for a more beautiful mom? Happy Mother's Day!
