Jenna Elfman and Khloe Kardashian-Odom both chose sunshine-inspired, bright yellow accessories during the month of June. Given the prevalence of this bright color on the Marc by Marc Jacobs' runway, it's no wonder that tall women everywhere are starting to follow the trend. The thing that's so phenomenal about bright yellow accessories is that they add a dash of surprise to any outfit. Jenna Elfman's choice of a small yellow clutch bag added flair to an otherwise understated dress. Khloe Kardashian-Odom, on the other hand, went big and bold with a larger purse that became the center of attention.

So is this tall fashion trend one worth following? Absolutely.

Here's What Works: Yellow is a happy color, and if you're comfortable wearing it, chances are a quick glance at your bright accessory will lift your spirits. There's also a lot of leeway when it comes to bright accessories - it's easier to go big and bright by carrying a bag or wearing a scarf than to choose an all-over bright dress.

Here's What Doesn't Work: This trend is more personality-based than style-based. Almost anyone can pull off a bright yellow accessory, but you have to feel comfortable doing it. If you don't like standing out from the crowd, you may want to steer clear of this trend.

How to Make it Work for You: Decide exactly how much attention you want to draw. Khloe Kardashian-Odom's purse is cute, but it definitely takes over the rest of her outfit (And did you notice her shoes? They're fantastic!). If you want just a small dash of extra attention, go for a small clutch, shoes with a bright strap, a yellow watch or bright yellow earrings. To make a bigger entrance, try a larger bag, scarf, belt or hat

Other Tips: Don't be afraid to mix yellow with other colors, a la Jenna Elfman and the Marc by Marc Jacobs model. Just because yellow is a bright color doesn't mean you can't also wear other bright colors. Jenna Elfman makes it work by using a pop of yellow off a solid plum dress; you can do the same with other purple and blue "backgrounds." The Marc by Marc Jacob's model mixes the colors of her accessories with a yellow scarf and orange bag, pairing them with a neutral suit.
