The Bottom Line

Great skinny jeans and a great value because they hold their color and shape so well.

Pros

  • Loads of stretch. Very comfy.
  • Waistline isn't too low. Fits my not-so-skinny body
  • Keeps the shape after multiple washing.
  • Kept the color after multiple washing.
  • Mid-rise (not too low or high waisted.)

Cons

  • Had to order a size larger than I wear in other Gap jeans.
  • The butt gets a little saggy after a long day of wear. Not that unusual for skinny jeans.
  • A bit pricey for moderate jeans at almost $70.

Description

  • Gap's Always Skinny Jean.
  • Bought Dark Wash and Overdyed Black Wash (other colors available.)
  • Sizes 00-20, regular, petite and tall.
  • Five pocket styling.
  • Ankle, regular or long length.
  • 99% cotton; 1% elastane.

Guide Review - My Favorite Skinny Jeans - Gap's Always Skinny Jeans

I was hesitant to try skinny jeans since a) I'm over 40 and b) I'm not skinny. But last year I bought my first pair of Gap's Always Skinny jeans in a dark overdye wash and was impressed.

I bought the skinny jeans to wear tucked into tall boots for fall, and that's how they have mostly been worn.

Gap okay but Old Navy better, Member stylesuccess

I agree that the Gap skinny jeans are a good deal and nice quality, but I prefer the Old Navy skinny jeans. What I like about them most is that they don't stick to my leg like a second skin (exposing the lovely soft area above my knees!) Plus, at $30 - $35 you can buy two pair!
