Tall suede boots are the newest boot for fall, and although black suede boots are the most versatile, you'll love the variety including gray suede boots, flat suede boots and suede wedge boots (my personal fave.)
1. Suede Wedge Boots
How much do I love these Naughty Monkey boots? Well, enough to own them (which I do.) The quality is fantastic for a boot that costs less than $100, but I actually liked them in the store before even knowing how cheap they were. They have a tall shaft that's slouchy enough to tuck jeans into comfortably, a small wedge for lift (makes your legs look longer) and snazzy hardware for a bit of edge. These boots were a tiny bit big on me, but I just wear athletic socks with them to keep them from slipping.
2. Black Suede Boots
The truth is, I bought these MICHAEL Michael Kors black suede boots first, but they were too tall for me. If you can walk in heels (I can't), there isn't a better looking pair of boots out there at any price. These are yummy soft suede, with a slouchy fit, and a platform to balance out the 4 1/2 heels. The price -- at around $200 -- is right, too.
3. Brown Suede Boots
Madewell's tall suede boots come in either gray or chocolate and feature a 1" stacked heel, which makes them perfect for lots of walking.
4. Purple Suede Boots
Add some color to your cold-weather outfits with these purple suede boots from BCBGeneration. They feature a 3 1/2 inch stacked heel and pull-on styling. Purple not your color? Try tobacco or black leather.
5. Black Suede Heel Boots
If you like a moderate, substantial heel on your boots, you'll like this affodable Alfani style (under $140) with a 3 1/2 inch heel.
6. Red Suede Boots
How many shoes do you own that make you actually saw "Wow!"? These gorgeous red suede Stuart Weitzman budget-breakers are a boot-lover's dream: almost 20 inches high, leather lined (breathable!) with a platform and 4 inch heel. Also comes in mushroom and black.
7. Suede Flat Boots
Get all of the style and all of the comfort of a suede flat boot in these Dolce Vita tall-shaft boot. Perfect for pairing with skinny jeans or leggings, these boots come in neutrals like black, gray and cream.
8. Budget Suede Boots
You really can get in on the suede boot trend for just a little money, as shown with this pair of Fashion Bug boots for less than $35. In black or brown, these synthetic suede boots (plus: good for animal lovers) have the slouchy features of pricier brands.
9. Suede Buckle Boots
For a dressier look, try a suede boot like these from Sofft with a zipper side (gives a more fitted, less slouchy, look). The oversized buckle adds instant style. In gray or black suede for under $200.
