Try a minidress over bermuda shorts or a minidress; top skinny black jeans with a belted long tunic.
The point here is to add lots of visual interest to the black and white color scheme by playing with proportions.
You can try long over short (like the picture, above), full over fitted (a volumnious print chiffon shirt over skinny white jeans) or fitted over full (a short, fitted black jacket over a full-skirted white dress).
