Update: Looking for Michelle Obama inaugural dresses?

The First Lady has selected three American designers -- Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera and Peggy Jennings -- to design her wardrobe for the 55th Presidential Inauguration activities which begin January 19.

The highlight of the First Lady's wardrobe is always the Inaugural Gown, and this year Mrs. Bush will wear a silver and blue embroidered tulle long evening gown by Oscar de la Renta.

Oscar de la Renta is a favorite of ladies-who-lunch, as well as the perenially chic and girly Sarah Jessica Parker.

During the 2001 inauguration ceremonies, Mrs. Bush relied on a much lower-profile designer, Texan Michael Faircloth, to design a crystal-encrusted red gown that met to mixed reviews.
