In the mid '80s Princess Diana began to shed the boxy suits and go with form-fitting suits like this cream peplum style worn with a Phillip Somerville hat in 1986. According to the book Diana Style by Colin MacDowell, milliner Somerville simply said "I was the guy who put the princess into big hats."
