Celebration of Oscar Fashion: Gold Amex Dress

Costume designer Lizzy Gardiner used 254 Gold American Express cards (supplied by Amex, all with her name and one number short to make them invalid) to make this 1995 dress. The dress was auctioned off for charity four years later for more than $12,000.
