Definition: A fascinator is extravagant headwear. It can be a headband, comb or tiny hat embellished with feathers, beads, flowers, etc. Fascinators are a way to replace a hat at formal occasions such as weddings. The fascinator style of headgear has been largely made popular by British women such as Kate Middleton (now Duchess of Cambridge) and even the Queen herself who wore a fascinator to her grandson Peter Phillips' wedding.
