Outfits: The rejects
Getting glam isn't as easy as it looks! We shopped for hours to find just the right outfit that wouldn't look too styled.

First, there were the glittery gold stretch cropped pants from Guess (left) with the striped web belt and pink crystal pave buckle. Cute idea, but we ended up just loving the plain tank in the end.

Then we tried the super-punk look (below, left) and decided to go with the worn-jean look. We loved the Union Jack belt, but its $50+ price tag broke the bank.

Then we thought a denim jumpsuit might look fresh (below, right), but it ended up looking too old for Kate.

So we refined our ideas as we went along -- we knew we liked a plain tank, with a webbed crystal belt and antiqued jeans. Voila! We just switched to a hip color scheme (red, white and blue) and we had a smashing look.
