"If it looks groovy, wear it man."--- Austin Powers' fashion philosophy.
Austin Powers and crew are resplendent in fab new costumes in his latest movie "The Spy Who Shagged Me," which opened Friday, June 11, 1999.
Yeah, Baby!
Because Powers travels back in time in this sequel, Costumer Deena Appel clothed the
star and the "shags" in the mod London fashions of the late '60s. Mike
Meyers, as Powers, gets his trademark velvet suit again and moves on to uniform chic,
Howard Johnson orange and more. And playing himself as his nemesis, Dr. Evil, he's
millennium sleek in a silver, gray and black palette.
Powers always attracts a crowd of women (it's the Mojo, love), for whom Appel chose sexy costumes including crocheted dresses, hot pants, suede fringe and leather boots.
