Top Ten Trends Sure, school is about learning and important stuff. But, seriously girls, you can't ignore the fact that what you wear is important, too. So to help you get over those first-day style jitters, here are my Top Ten Trends for back to school.
1. 3. 5. 6. 8. 9. 1. Antique Distressed Jeans. Wear 'em low on your hips, if school rules permit! (Dollhouse) 2. Funky Bag. make sure it's comfortable and cool! (Chicks Rule!) 3. Blazer. Wear it with something totally girlie, like a feminine skirt. (Dollhouse) 4. Plaid Mini. Wear your mini with a simple tee and casual slides. (Guest List Wear) 5. Cuter-than-Cute Mittens. Summer's over girls, and those pretty-painted nails should stay warm! (Rusty) 6. Black Boots. Wear them with everything from your plaid mini to your hipsters. (Dollhouse) 7. Super-thick Belt. Wear it low-slung. Very hip. (sorry, couldn't resist!) (Squeeze) 8. Cool Kicks. Find a pair that looks as good with your mini as it does with your gym uniform. (Sneaks, left Chicks Rule; right, Rusty) 9. A Cuff. A quick way to add a punk vibe. (Guest List Wear) 10. Hat. Find one that's old-fashioned, but fabulous. (Planet Yumthing) Check back next week for Part Two of Back to School '01. Casey will be showing you her Six Picks: head-to-toe looks that you must get for Fall. Casey is a real, fashion-forward teenage girl who loves clothes (and describes her own look as "trendy prep") If you want to ask her a question, post it to the Fashion Forum under "Teen" and put "Ask Casey" in the Subject line.
