This spring the trends are young and hip, especially from labels like Rocket 898, Planet Yumthing, and Gasoline at the most fabulous teen fashion show Girls Rule!, straight from NYC!

Here is a list of my fave looks for Spring:

1. Rocker Chick, from Hybrid - A bit over the top, but this look would really heat up an ordinary night out! I'm crazy for those leather pants. The cuffs add a casual flair, and the simple tank really flatters such flashy bottoms!

2. -That '70s thing, from Rocket 898(See photo, left) A Pucci-esque halter, hot pink slicker, and a funky gold choker make a totally '70s look. Add hip hair and oversized aviators and it brings you back to '01!

3. Jet Setter, from Rocket 898- I LOVE this ensemble, though I'm not for sure why. Maybe the dark denim mini. Maybe the low-slung gold belt and huge hoops. Maybe because of the very hot halter. All I know is something is definitely right about this happenin' look!

On trend
-Flip flops
-Toe rings
-Bikinis

-Hip belts

4. Tank Girl, from Gasoline- Dark denim is updated with gold details, making it instantly hip! The huge hoops and studded camisole aren't bad either!

5. Flower child, from Rocket 898 - Be sweet and serious with pretty basics like a beige pinstriped skirt and a soft rhinestone-studded tank. The funky eye makeup and wild 'do add a bit of a edge.

6. Sailor Chic, from Coolwear, (see photo, left)-  This adorable striped one-shoulder tee would look sweet with a little khaki skirt, but looks tough paired with the white denim pants complete with gold detailing! All aboard!

7. Pretty prep, from Coolwear ( but still very hot!) The striped turtleneck tank is perfectly cool with a flash of the belly, and the red and white plaid skirt is made hip with lace-up insets. Together they don't clash, but complement!

8Girly girl from Coolwear -- The floral print camisole softens the business-like skirt, and the front slits and gold sequins glam it up! How pretty is this this look?!

9. Tough Chic from Coolwear - Dress just like a rock star (or his girlfriend!) in a tough, but glam tank complete with studs and glitter, acid-rinse and frayed denim, and huge, oversized red shades! Now if only you could sing...

Casey's Fashion Fix: "Brace yourself!"

Sure, it'll be worth it in the long run: a perfect, gorgeous smile and beautiful, straight teeth. Too bad you have to deal with wearing braces NOW!

When you first get them, braces are awkward and normally painful. They might seem so bad that you don't want to smile, talk, even open your mouth! But I'd advise you, don't do that. It makes you look uncomfortable (and you wouldn't want that!), besides they really aren't THAT bad!

Braces are cute, in their own way and now there are many different fabulous styles:

-All metal, which is very simple.
-The kind with colored bands, which come in lots of cool colors. You can color-coordinate them with your wardrobe, color them according to the holidays, have school spirit with your schools colors (great for cheerleaders!) or go monochromatic (with silver).
-The new Invisalign, which are not even noticeable.

If you feel self-conscious about your new braces, try these tips to help ease the transition:

1. Avoid super-shiny lip glosses and overly dark or bright lipsticks. Try a pearly lip balm or a liquid lipstick (light color, small shine) for pretty and pale lip color.

2. Play up your eyes, to take attention away from your mouth. Choose fun and funky colors. I've seen everything from shimmery pastels to electrifying brights this spring, so take you pick!

3.. Keep the jewelry around your face simple. Avoid chunky metal necklaces and enormous earrings. Instead focus on your hands with bracelets, rings and watches.

And most important: Don't forget to smile!
