Introduction

Hello out there to all you fashion-hungry about.com readers! My name is Taylor Davies, and I'm a fashion, menswear and lifestyle writer based in New York City. I'd describe my personal style as somewhere between classic tomboy and eclectic prep, which has been formed out of my roots on the West Coast (Seattle!) and more than five years in Manhattan. As the new fashion expert for about.com, I hope to bring an informative, creative, witty and inspiring perspective to the style content you've come to trust.

Experience

I started writing a personal style blog after college, way back in 2009. This lead me to pursue a career in fashion writing and online media, which has become both a personal and professional passion. Most recently, I have been a freelance contributor to Teen Vogue online, Style Girlfriend and CBS Watch! magazine. For two years, I was the fashion and menswear editor at Lifestyle Mirror and The Luxer, creating fun, engaging and shoppable fashion content for a luxury-leaning audience. I have maintained my blog throughout my professional career, sharing personal style, shopping tips, travel diaries and even dating advice.

Education

I attended the University of Arizona where I received a bachelor's degree in Journalism and minored in French language.
