Tonight kicks off holiday parties for me with a charity event, so I'm sure I'll get to see lots of holiday fashion "Don'ts." Not that it's easy to decide what to wear for a holiday party: it isn't.
First, there's the temptation to pile on the glitz. Second, there's taking the easy way out and going too casual.
Want to know my failproof party outfit? Lots of black (a dress, pants and a top, whatever) plus a little bit of shine (I like gold or silver earrings. The bigger the better.)
