I don't always love what Angelina Jolie wears, but I usually do like the way she wears it: on her own terms.

Whether it's an inexpensive secondhand dress or a couture creation, Angelina likes to accessorize with her
many tattoos instead of the usual red carpet diamonds. It's an unconventional approach for the beautiful actress to mix tattoos and couture, but it works for her. Pictured here in Cannes, Angelina Jolie wears a sheer nude asymmetrical Versace gown that shows off both her arm and back tattoos. What do you think? Quite frankly I think that tattoos are disgusting..I know that many women have them and that is their choice, but to mark one’s body is not something I find beautiful or attractive on either sex.
I agree with Sallie! I am sure there are going to be a lot of older ladies in the next 30 years stretching their no-longer elastic skin out to see what they tattooed on various body parts, ugh! At least Angelina will be able to have them removed, unlike most others…
I disagree, I love how Angelina is bold, and doesn’t stick to the ho-hum jewelry that woman always tend to abuse when they are wearing evening gowns. I like risk takers and if it weren’t for people like her, fashion would be cookie-cutter boring.
Tattoos can be very cute and sexy, depending on what it is and where you get it placed. They’re very couture at the moment.
I don’t have one myself, but if I weren’t so afraid of needles I would get one.
And not all women have to stretch their skin when they get older just to get a look at their old tattoos. My mother in law who is 40 has the body of a 20 year old and the face of a 30 year old (and no she didn’t get surgery, she just takes good care of herself, eats well and exercises.). Tattoos can still look sexy years from now if a woman can take care of herself.
If it makes you feel sexy, do it.
I think tattoos in general are quite ugly. In this particular case jeans and a tee would have been a more becoming choice. The gown with the tattoos is not beautiful no matter who wears it.
Tattoos are a way of saying that you are proud of your body. Would I wear one? No, but then again I am not particularly proud of my body. Then again, I am not defensive about my body either, which I view as average. As long as you are tattooing out of pride, I think its cool.
I nothing personal against tattoos at all. To each their own. In fact I have one. However, since we are discussing fashion and in her case, the visible tattoos in that particular dress, I think it ruined the look of the dress. I would have applied a concealer if I was going to wear that particular dress.

I love her…
Her styles may not fit me but hey… she has always make herself astonishing and beautiful…inside and outside…
Honestly, I do not think having a tattoo on your body is bad. It only, of course, could be bad if you have too many or extremely big. I would say that Angelina Jolie, in this case, looks very lovely with it. It is just like little accessories on her combining with that beautiful gown. It appears very elegant and sexy to me. To choose a tattoo for yourself is just like to choose a dress, you have to know what goes well with you if you want to look great.
I like tattoos if they are tastefully done. I think Angelina’s tattoos are amazing although they clashed with the dress. Tattoos can be really beautiful and it’s not our place to judge a person because they chose to express themselves with a tattoo. It’s their body, so therefore, their choice. Personally, I like them.
She is no longer tasteful with so many of them, and her looks (in my opinion) are ruined and raunchy. What is cool on a young tight bod, is just desparate past 30. That being said, she does things on her own terms and I don’t think she really cares what I think! Good for her – beauty isn’t everything – you have to be who you are.
