Excellent list! There are two more common fashion mistakes I often see at parties that bear mentioning; both look classless and tasteless.
1: Wearing anything embellished with Christmas trees, lights, chimneys, reindeers or Santa’s. Embellishing these with sequins, sparkles or battery operated LED lights makes it worse. I suppose this could be a subset of too much glitz, but some women need to be reminded that dressing like a hallmark Christmas card isn’t pretty unless one is under 12 years of age.
2:Taking off winter boots and pulling out a tacky pair of slippers to wear with your party clothes. I see this at house parties all the time, women will come dressed in the chicest, most elegant little black dress, perfect hair, make-up and accessories, then they put on a pair of slippers and ruin the over-all look. Number one worst slipper: those checker-board knitted slippers and number two, anything with fleece.
