Fashion Week, Day 6: 'Project Runway,' 'Real Housewives'
Week after week, we sit and listen to Project Runway judge Michael Kors pick apart other designers work. Proportion, craftsmanship and newness are some of his favorite talking points on the show. So when it came to his own collection of American sportswear, I just kept wondering what Michael Kors was thinking on looks like the shapeless drop-waist dress. Also, the red, white and blue color palette seemed like overkill coming on the heels of the Olympics (unless Michael Kors was auditioning to design the 2012 U.S.A. uniforms...)At the other end of the reality TV spectrum, I got to see Bethenny -- my favorite "Housewife" -- from The Real Housewives of New York City. At the same fashion show I saw Kelly Bensimon who is joining the "Housewives" cast and I'm looking forward to seeing what she can bring to the show. Kelly Bensimon is a fashionista deluxe (author, model, designer) and a dedicated equestrian, which is good. I figure if a girl can lift a 50 lb. bag of horse feed, she can certainly put that yammering Ramona and social-climbing Alex in their places. (Frazer Harrison/Getty Images)

This article was poorly written and whoever wrote it obvsiously doesn’t study fashion whatsoever…. Micheal Kors colour palette are only the basics: black, white, navy, red, and khaki…. So whoever tried making those “witty” and almost snide remarks, check yourself
Cynthia,
When I read your comments I went to look at his runway. There were somethings that I just did not like but there was a lot more that I did like.
MK collection looks good to me. I love the way the swimsuits look and the blue gown is wonderful.
I did not like the gingham check pattern it just brought to mind tablecloth.
I do agree with the drop waist red dress. Not very good looking glad there was only one.
