Are flip-flips over? I just received a press release (from a so-called fashion expert) that says flip-flops are finished and we should all be wearing wedge sandals or gladiators with our swimsuit.

I was never a huge fan of cheap rubber flip-flops paired with something dressy, but I love flip-flops for casual wear. What else is so inexpensive, comfortable and universal? I can't even imagine flailing around in the sand wearing wedges (heels and swimsuits sound sexy in theory, but don't make much sense for real women).
