Fashion Week: Fashion on Demand
Thursday January 31, 2008
Fashion is finally trying to keep up with the way we live today (which is basically, we want everything now).
Tomorrow, during the first day of Fashion Week, American Express will launch live streaming coverage of the shows on the American Express Fashion Network so viewers can see the action as it happens. Robert Verdi will be the official host of the network.
On the merchandise side, Net-a-Porter has teemed up with Halston to sell some of the fashions shown one day after the Feb.4 show. The online retailer will offer two of the runway looks, a $1495 shirt dress and a $1795 silk evening gown, according to WWD.com.
