Do You Hate the Current Trends? Discuss!
Wednesday January 2, 2008
I really thought holiday shopping was hard this year because there wasn't a single trend to buy into, unlike previous years when it was easy to snap up Uggs, cashmere, shrugs, etc. So much of what's hanging in the stores is just like what we already own or totally unwearable for anyone over 16. And I'm not alone. Here's what you're talking about in the forum:
"I was trying to find a dress recently and everything looks like a maternity top...big, formless, and baggy. Do people really want to look pregnant or fat? The current fashion trends are really unflattering and I won't be buying anything until there is something more flattering available. Just wondering if others agree or disagree." -- from basanti142Join the discussion about current trends.

I agree. A lot of the trends that are out are old trends that we have seen before. I find that I find most of my clothes on either targets website or on the internet period. Overall shopping in the malls has become boring. Clothes are picked over. You never find your size, the style you want and the re-done styles looked better before. Its extremely frustrating.
Old news. I’ve never listened to fashion trends anyway. Everything in the mall seems cheap and poorly made. I want quality workmanship and clothes that last more than a season. I buy most of my clothes on the internet, the only difficulty being pants and suits which I need to get tailored.
I totally agree. Preggy-look tops doesn’t only make you look fat but it makes short people look a lot shorter too. Just because its the trend, it doesn’t mean that it will look good on you.

I don’t rate much of the current “style”, especially in High street stores, they’re just overun with neon baggy things that look more like bed covers than anything else.
