Star Style: Angelina Jolie's Tats Red Carpet Ready?

Tuesday December 12, 2006
Angelina Jolie TattoosAngelina Jolie let her multiple tattoos (see the rest of Angelina Jolie's Tattoos in the photo gallery) be center stage at the after-party for the premiere of "The Good Shepherd." What do you think about Angelina's showing off back tattoos (click image to view it full-size) in an evening dress? Vote now:
  1. It looks great.
  2. It looks terrible.
  3. I wouldn't try it, but Angelina can pull it off.

I think that most of Angie’s tattoos are lovely and most have a story behind them. The reason her bones are sticking out is because she’s been under much stress knowing that her mother was dying from cancer. Has anyone noticed that she’s even thinner now? It’s not because she has an eating disorder but because she has recently lost her beloved mother. I don’t know about anyone else but when my mother eventually passes, I’ll be taking it just as badly as Angie has. I don’t see why people have to be cruel and speak hateful words just because a person is a celebrity. Perhaps it’s because deep down inside, the people speaking the hateful words are actually unhappy with something in their own lives. If that’s the case with anyone then perhaps you should consider taking a long hard look at yourself and decide to make the changes necessary to become a happier person.

Tattoos should be reserved for carnival workers, ex-cons, long-haul truckers, drunken sailors, ageing rock stars, gang wannabes and aborginal tribesman. Angelina’s tattoos lend a celebrity cache to those “individuals” who slavishly follow the fashion trends of their favorite pop culture icons.

This form of body mutilation and graffiti doesn’t wash off. In a few years, the tattoos may identify real losers like a lime-colored Leisure Suit of the early 1970’s.

“Grandma, why do you have a tattoo of a venomous spider on your neck?”

“I thought I was being rebellious and creative like Angelina Jolie.”

“Who was Angelina Jolie?”

Some of the comments are straight out of Aesop’s Fables: The Fox and the Grapes - Moral: “Sometimes when we cannot get what we want, we pretend that it is not worth having.” Chubby females always think fit thin women are TOO thin. Then add some unique tattoos to that beautiful back and the claws really come out.

Sour grapes are so . . . sour :(
