Vera Wang Teams with Kohl's for New Line

Designer Vera Wang (shown left, with Kevin Mansell, President of Kohl's) is the latest designer to join ranks with a value-oriented retail outlet. The designer, who won the Council of Fashion Designers of America '05 Womenswear Designer of the Year award, will bring her modern, relaxed approach to fashion through the Kohl's lifestyle brand, called Very Vera, encompassing everything from clothes to linens.

Other recent designers to lend their names to affordable fashion include Viktor & Rolf, Stella McCartney and Karl Lagerfeld for H&M; Isaac Mizrahi, Luella Bartley and Cynthia Rowley for Target, and -- premiering this fall -- Vivienne Westwood, Sophia Kokosalaki and Thakoon for Nine West.
