Designer Spotlight: Jill Stuart
Thursday August 10, 2006
Designer Jill Stuart was born to garmento parents -- makers of the popular "Mister Pants" line in the '60s -- and as a teenager, Jill began selling bags and belts to Bloomingdales. The budding designer, who was educated at Dalton School and the Rhode Island School of Design, then branched out into ready-to-wear in 1993 and got a big break when her designs were worn in the hit movie "Clueless." Jill's signature look is cute, sweet and girly, but this fall she took a big departure from that with clean, sexy shapes in black. See the photo gallery of the entire Jill Stuart collection.
