Q. Can I Wear Pantyhose with Sandals?

Friday June 23, 2006
A. It would be best if you skipped the hose, but if you're not comfortable doing that try to find a super sheer, nude color. Get them to match your skintone exactly so it will look like you're not wearing any, and don't forget the sandalfoot variety. Two other options are fishnet hose and toeless hose.

No, you can’t do this. You can’t wear hose with sandals. You can wear them with slingbacks as long as the toes ar not open. Also, never wear mules or slides with hose. This looks terrible.

I live in NYC, NY. so perhaps my viewpoint is tainted but the answer is a BIG, emphatic NO! It looks dreadful and also says ‘tourist’.

I wear nylons every day and sandals whenever its warm enough. Here are the rules, very sheer, colors like buff or nude, and red or pink pedicure. French style looks aweful with hose.
