Remember being a kid and loving summer because it meant you could finally wear shorts again?This year shorts and pants are the hottest bottoms out there, from knee-length shorts to convertible, rolled-up cargo pants.
Leggings are showing up under dresses and skirts and will continue to be big through the fall; short suits go to work for a fresh approach to corporate casual. Bermuda shorts (which is being used as a catch-all phrase for longer shorts anywhere from right above to right below the knee) will be one of the most popular looks, but to make the look more modern you need to pair them with the right top and shoes. I loved the look of short suits for the Spring and Summer. Problem is, I am not allowed to wear any open toed shoes in the workplace. What alternatives are there?
Why not look into a shoe that looks casual, but is good for the workplace? A loafer with a bit of a heel, or a mule would go nicely with a shorts suit, but still cover the toes. A few examples:
