Day Three: Fashion Week in New York
Sunday September 11, 2005
The shows started in the afternoon, so that gave me and Casey Lewis (guest writer for the site, her first time to attend the shows) time to shop on Fifth Avenue. While we admired Bergdorf Goodman's windows, we decided it was a bit too rich for us, and headed to Henri Bendel, Zara (everything looked fantastic and great prices) and H&M (this threw us for a loop because nothing looked good, regardless of bargain prices). In the end, we both bought something at the Gap -- Casey bought a thermal zip cardi and I got a black crochet shawl at Gap's Love boutique. Today we'll hit SoHo between shows. As for the fashion shows, the hottest show of the day was Brazilian swimwear designer Rosa Cha. Naomi Campbell walked the runway! Usher was the biggest celeb we saw yesterday, as he watched the skimpy bikinis go down the red carpet (I'm sure he was more interested in the gorgeous models than the teensy man-suits that the guys wore). More later!
