Oscar Fashion

Monday February 28, 2005

The stars were out in a wide variety of glam looks from familiar designers (Versace, Armani) and new names (Roland Mouret, Monique Lhuillier). And although red carpet queens Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Garner were no where in sight, the crowd welcomed back fashion goddess Gwyneth Paltrow, looking luminous in a satin Stella McCartney. My personal pick for best-dressed star is Natalie Portman, above, in a shimmery Lanvin goddess-style gown. She manages to look modern, timeless, grownup and fresh all at the same time. I also thought Gwyneth and Halle Berry took red carpet style in a new direction with subdued-colored gowns, long locks and natural makeup.

Review 10 pages of Oscar photos and read about what your favorite stars wore, then vote for best-dressed in the poll!
